Hi, I’m Mandy, the photographer behind MM Photography. I’m a Colorado wedding and portrait photographer based in Longmont, and I love creating photographs that feel genuine, emotional, and true to the people in them.
My background is in environmental conservation, so I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors, natural spaces, and the little details that make a place feel special. That love of nature is a big part of how I see photography. I’m especially happy when I get to photograph couples surrounded by Colorado’s mountains, forests, and beautiful landscapes.
I photograph weddings, elopements, engagements, couples, families, and portraits throughout Longmont, Boulder, Fort Collins, Estes Park, Denver, and across Colorado. When I photograph a wedding or elopement, I want you to actually experience your day instead of spending it worrying about the camera. My approach combines documentary storytelling with gentle direction when you need it. I’ll help you feel comfortable, give you guidance when it’s helpful, and step back when the real moments are unfolding.
I’m drawn to the in-between moments just as much as the big ones: the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the way someone looks at their partner when they think no one is watching, the laughter between friends, and all the little details you may not notice until you look back at your photographs.
Most importantly, all couples and all love stories are welcome here. Whether your day is a big traditional wedding, an intimate elopement, or something completely your own, I want your photographs to feel like you. I want you to feel supported throughout the photography experience, not just on your wedding day. Planning a wedding can come with a lot of decisions, timelines, and moving pieces, and photography is one part of the day where you shouldn’t have to figure everything out on your own.
Before your wedding, I take the time to get to know you, your relationship, and what matters most to you. I’m happy to talk through your photography plans, answer questions, help you think through your timeline, and offer guidance when you’re not sure what will work best for photos. I want you to feel prepared without feeling like you have to have everything figured out before we even start.
On your wedding day, my goal is to be a calm and reassuring presence. I’ll give you gentle direction when you need it, especially during portraits, while also leaving plenty of room for you to simply be together and enjoy what’s happening around you. You don’t need to know how to pose or be “good” in front of a camera. I’ll help you through it.
I also pay attention to the moments happening around the main events. If you're busy talking with your family, laughing with your friends, or caught up in the excitement of the day, I’m there looking for the little moments you might otherwise miss. I want you to be able to stay present instead of constantly wondering whether something is being photographed.
And after the wedding, I want the experience to continue feeling easy and personal. Your photographs should be something you’re excited to look through, share, and return to for years to come. From the first conversation to the final gallery, I want you to feel that you have someone in your corner who genuinely cares about creating photographs that tell your story.
You don't have to be comfortable in front of a camera. You don't have to know what to do with your hands. You don't have to have a perfectly planned wedding. You just have to show up as yourselves. I'll take care of the rest.
I’d love to hear your story and create something meaningful with you.
